Pinkie Pinkie Pop Group Auditions Announced

Applications now open for the reality show featuring 8-region candidate selection.

The Pink Dolphin Fund is revolutionizing conservation advocacy with the launch of Pinkie Pinkie, an innovative pop group formed through a reality show competition spanning eight regions across Asia. This groundbreaking initiative merges the massive appeal of Asian pop culture with urgent marine conservation messaging, reaching audiences who might not traditionally engage with environmental causes.

The Concept

Pinkie Pinkie represents a bold new approach to conservation communication. By creating a pop group dedicated to ocean protection, we're meeting young audiences where they are—in the world of music, entertainment, and social media. The group will record original music, perform at conservation events, create viral social media content, and serve as youth ambassadors for the Pink Dolphin Fund.

Audition Process

The audition process seeks talented performers aged 18-28 who are passionate about ocean conservation and possess singing, dancing, or performance skills. Candidates don't need to be professional performers—we're looking for authentic individuals who can connect with audiences and genuinely care about marine conservation.

Applications are open through September 30, 2025, with auditions scheduled across eight regions: Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. Each region will host open auditions followed by callback rounds, with top candidates advancing to the televised competition.

Competition Format

Selected candidates will participate in a televised competition featuring conservation challenges, musical performances, and educational segments about Chinese White Dolphins. Challenges will test both performance abilities and conservation knowledge, including field trips to Marine Protected Areas, meetings with marine biologists, participation in beach cleanups, and creation of conservation awareness content.

Musical performances will feature original songs about ocean conservation, covers of popular songs with conservation themes, and collaborative performances with established artists who support marine conservation. Judges will include music industry professionals, conservation experts, and celebrity advocates.

Educational Component

Each episode will incorporate substantial educational content about marine conservation. Viewers will learn about Chinese White Dolphin biology and behavior, threats facing marine ecosystems, conservation solutions and success stories, and how individuals can contribute to ocean protection.

The show will feature guest appearances by marine biologists, conservation leaders, and celebrities who support ocean protection. Behind-the-scenes content will show candidates visiting research facilities, participating in dolphin monitoring expeditions, and learning about conservation science.

The Final Group

The final Pinkie Pinkie group will consist of 5-7 members selected through a combination of judge decisions and public voting. The group will sign a two-year contract with the Pink Dolphin Fund, during which they will record and release original music, perform at conservation events and festivals, create social media content reaching millions, participate in educational programs, and serve as official ambassadors for Chinese White Dolphin conservation.

Music and Message

Original songs will be produced by top Asian music producers, blending catchy pop melodies with meaningful conservation messages. The music will be released on major streaming platforms, with proceeds supporting Pink Dolphin Fund conservation programs. Music videos will feature stunning ocean cinematography and highlight conservation themes.

Social Media Strategy

Pinkie Pinkie will maintain active presence across all major social media platforms, creating content that entertains while educating about marine conservation. The group's social media strategy includes behind-the-scenes content, conservation tips and facts, collaborations with other influencers, live streams from conservation events, and interactive challenges encouraging fans to take conservation action.
